Benefits of Having a Professional Photographer at your Nonprofit Fundraising Event - Orlando Event Photographer
Before I opened my photography business, I worked as a Program Director of a nonprofit so one of my favorite things to photograph is nonprofit events and fundraisers. I’ve had an opportunity to work with the North Central Florida Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation a few times this year. In talking about what they need the images for, and knowing how important they are for nonprofits in general, I thought I would chat a bit about the benefits.
Professional photography is a great tool to continue your mission after the event.
When you have a professional photographer capturing posed and candid images at your event, you can then share those images with the attendees of your event. And guess what? They will be SO EXCITED to share those images on social media, which means they are sharing about your event and your mission.
While there is TREMENDOUS value in your attendees sharing the photos (and consequently the mission of your organization), your organization itself can benefit from having those professional images, too. You can post them to Facebook or Instagram, you can put them into a slideshow and post it to YouTube, you can add it as a featured image on a blog post or LinkedIn Article, you can share it to news outlets that need images to accompany their article about your event, you can use it alongside a highlight about one of the beneficiaries from your event, ... the list goes on and on!
As you can tell in the previous bullet, there are loads of ways to use the images immediately after the event. But you know when they might be even more useful for you? As you begin your campaign for the next year's event! You'll have images to use in social media marketing, on the website for the next year's event, or even on flyers. It will make things so much more personal for you rather than using stock images (or even the stock images provided to you by your national organization).
