Sam's Bar Mitzvah at Congregation of Reform Judaism and Westin Lake Mary

Sam is such an awesome kid with a great, loving family! He really loves cars, the color red, building things out of cardboard and hanging out with his big brother, Matthew. I was honored to work with him to celebrate his big day. Sam and his family belong to Congregation of Reform Judaism in Orlando. I've been fortunate enough to volunteer with CRJ to photograph their annual fundraising events, so I feel just a little more at home every time I get to work with their staff, including Rabbi Engel and Cantor Jacki.   

I was so impressed with how involved Sam was in this whole process. He selected the color and design for his tallit and made his yad himself! He did really well during the service and I heard he even made a few jokes during his speech, at his mom's expense! Too funny!

 But the fun didn't stop there! We had a great time at the Westin in Lake Mary. Sam's theme was cars. Each table was a different car brand and the centerpiece not only featured the name of that brand but also a model car from that brand! The box for his cards was an old gas pump and the escort "cards" were keys! It was just such a well executed theme. Jason and his dancers from Two Left Feet kept everyone entertained all night. Festive Occasions by Faye made sure everything looked absolutely beautiful and ran smoothly. The staff at the Westin served an awesome meal (I even got to have a few bites - delish!) And the kids were served donuts from The Donut King. Can things get any better?!?
